When it comes to movies the U.S makes the best ones I know of. The action is good. The quality is great and the SG is fantastic. If that movie just happened to be a book first though.......
It sucks.

Vampire's Assistant
Eragon
Inkheart
The davinci code
Watchmen
The golden Compass
you know what all these movies have in common? They all had headlines that said they were fantastic.
